Diana Junquera Curiel is the Special Advisor at the ITUC Just Transition Centre and Energy Industry and Just Transition Director at IndustriALL Global Union. She started work in the oil sector in Spain when she was 20, at the headquarters of the Spanish oil and gas company Repsol. She joined the UGT union and became a workplace representative and eventually Head of International Relations. She earned a degree in Business Administration and Finance, and another in Economics and Tourism.
After participating in global energy sector committees, she moved to IndustriALL in 2016. She now leads the energy sector and is responsible for coordinating the global work of energy sector unions, focus on the social, financial and industrial implications of the energy transition and the impact on workers, looking for a Just Transition for them. She studies the impact and alternatives of Industry 4.0 for workers in energy sector and represents the union movement on the World Economic Forum committee on the Future of Work in Oil Sector. Recently she is working with the ITUC Just Transition Centre to develop an initiative for a Just Transition in the energy sector, focused on Oil and Gas.
