Romeo MikautadzeMinister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

    Romeo Mikautadze is the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia who is also in charge of the country’s energy policy. Mr. Mikautadze has extensive experience in the energy sector. Since 2004, he has held leading managerial positions in various energy agencies and companies. Romeo Mikautadze graduated from Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University and received a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations. He has received the state award – the Order of Honour, for an important project implemented in the energy sector of Georgia – the Jakhunderi-Mestia Overhead Transmission Line – a project that was implemented under his management.
